In a shocking turn of events, President-Elect Donald Trump started to make due on his promise to deport 20 million illegal by selecting Tom Homan as the new “Border Czar.”
Tom said to 60 Minutes “Families can be deported together” and other radical statements like “What price do you put on national security?” He even went so far as to doubt the cost of deporting illegals. His hardline stance has Democrat ran states openly saying they will resist federal efforts.
Homan, a police officer and Border Patrol agent has worked with six presidents over 30 years in law enforcement. He was executive associate director of enforcement and removal operations for Immigration and Customs Enforcement under President Obama. During that administration, ICE carried out a record number of deportations.
Honan repeatedly pandered to Trump for doing the most to secure the border. This type of quid quo pro can be expected from dictators.
